The Grain Processing Services division had many successful projects last year.  We designed and completed grain cleaning system upgrades at the Viterra Moose Jaw and Saskatoon facilities.  New cleaning equipment and conveyance were installed and commissioned improving the overall efficiency of the facilities as well as the cleaning capacity.

Dustin Brears and Ren Lapp attended the Manitoba Mining and Minerals Convention in Winnipeg on November 18-20, 2010.  This show was attended by the major mining and engineering companies in Manitoba and EMW was proud to be a part of it.

We’re almost there! The building is 95% closed in and the heating systems have been started in both the south and north lean-to's and the main building floor. The overhead crane has been installed and Canadian Crane will complete the electrical installation and commissioning by mid February.

Saltcoats, Sask. – EMW Industrial announces a new partnership with Pepper Maintenance Systems Inc. – Pepper Industrial Maintenance Group.The new venture will provide predictive maintenance services to the industrial and agri-business industries through the use of infrared thermography, vibration analysis, precision laser alignment, and ultrasonic inspections.

We would like to thank EMW and everyone for another year of supporting and pledging TEAMO in the Relay for Life 2010. Thank-you for Honoring the memory of Troy and his fight against Cancer. Troy always tried to make a difference to the people around him and would be happy that friends and family came together to help raise money to fight Cancer so that others might not have to go through what he did. Troy's courage, relentless spirit, determination and positive outlook on life has inspired and inpowered all who knew him. Thank-you for helping fight against cancer. 

Just a short up-date on the progress of the new sandblasting and paint facility at the farm. The building has been a long time coming; however, we can see the light at the end of the tunnel.

In the late spring EMW has had several opportunities to be a part of the Richardson Maintenance program. Richardson held there first shutdown late Sept going into early Oct. and EMW took part in that success.

In the past 5 months at the LDM site we have maintained a crew of about 8 men. We have been doing maintenance and other duties requested by LDM. In the past 2 months the bigger projects have been on hold as LDM is near there year end budget. The good news is that they are preparing to continue with different projects when the new budget is released. We recently completed in August there first shutdown with a crew of 23 men for a 2 week period.

A big thank you to all for your cooperation during EMW's External COR Audit that was done by Saskatchewan Construction Safety Association.

EMW received and outstanding score with this audit, retaining our COR Certification and accolades from SCSA for the commitment the management and workers have shown to the EMW Health & Safety Program.

Just wanted to pass along that Trevor Mack and Scott Morrison did a greatjob for us a HBM&S, the customer is extremely happy with how they performed.

The Human Resource Dept. hired 70 more field staff to accommodate projects at K1,Mosaic K2 and PCS Rocanville. EMW was very busy at K2 Esterhazy throughout the summer. Our manpower increased from 50to 105 men on site through pre shutdown and shutdown. This was the biggest crew we have had since EMW began.
