Our Work

We work with companies that use equipment to receive, process and distribute product throughout their facilities. Products include dry materials such as potash, grain, fertilizer, food and seed, and liquid materials.

Here are just a few of our projects:

Mosaic

In May 2008, millwright Trevor Mack and a crew of 34 employees began a routine maintenance shutdown at the Mosaic mine in Esterhazy. The job involved machine installation and repairs. The project wrapped up on time in mid-June.

Preventative maintenance is an important service that EMW Industrial provides to Mosaic as it maximizes the uptime of their equipment and allows the mine to operate with efficiency.

Louis Dreyfus Commodities

In Summer 2008, we begin work installing a grain receiving line at the canola crushing plant for Louis Dreyfus Commodities in Yorkton.

The installation involves consulting and engineering design. We will also complete the structural fabrication and supply equipment for the grain receiving line.

Fabrication has already begun in the EMW shop, and 10-15 workers will move onsite in late July. Project Manager Jason Trowell expects to complete the project in March 2009.

Cargill - Vermillion

In Spring 2008, EMW installed an exciting new style of grain dryers for Cargill in Vermillion. The long row grain dryers have the advantage of efficiency and insulation. They are also much quieter than the standard design, and eliminate the spillage of grain around the Cargill yard.

The project made use of eight EMW employees, led by Patrick Morrison.

It also employed a full gamut of our services, including engineering, fabrication, installation and craning.

Upon completion of the project in July 2008, the crew will move on to similar projects that make use of this innovative technology.
